I am not much of a baker, so I tend to buy my pizza doughs, rather than make them myself. Most stores have some variety of fresh pizza dough you can use to make your own fresh pie. However, if you want to make your own, check out http://tinyurl.com/5hedxx for ideas.
Another method that I use at home all the time is using pieces of flatbread

Here are some sauces and toppings I suggest:
Pesto
Eggplant sauce
Parmigiano Reggiano
Provolone
Mushrooms
Truffle oil
Olives
Dices tomatoes
Ricotta
Put anything you like. Experiment with flavor combinations, and you may be surprised by the wonderful flavors you can find!
