Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Here is a recipe for wonderful, tasty, soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
, softened (do not substitute)
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup (packed) brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl
. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large mixing bowl
. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts.
Chill cookie dough
by either freezing
for 2 hours or refrigerating
for at least 12 hours. This step must be followed to ensure that the cookies come out soft and chewy.
Preheat your oven
to 375 degrees. Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets
.
Bake
cookies for 9 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let cookies stand for 2 minutes, then remove them to wire racks
and let them cool completely.
