Strata with Spinach, Mushroom, and Chard
What you will need:
6 cups Roughly chopped swiss chard
6 oz Fresh spinach
6 oz Sliced mushrooms
3 cloves of garlic minced
1 medium shallot minced or finely chopped
4 oz French Bread
cubed about 1" thick
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
8 large sized eggs
2 1/2 cups half and half
1 1/2 cups Fontina Cheese
1/2th teaspoon Sea salt
1/8th teaspoon ground pepper
Lets get started:
In a large saute pan
over medium head
Place your extra virgin olive oil
Garlic, mushrooms, and shallots
Heat until shallots are translucent
Add spinich and swiss chard until just wilted (about 2 min)
Take a large mixing bowl
and add your bread cubes
Transfer the mixture from your saute pan in with the bread
In another mixing bowl
whisk eggs with half and half
Add in the mixture from your bread bowl
Stir in fontina cheese, salt and pepper
Lightly butter a 10" baking dish
Place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F
For 50 min or until golden brown
Let stand for 10 min - Serve

Try with a Chianti
This wine has a bit of spice to it with some nice red cherry overtones
